New Rosary Making Ministry

Category: Legion of Mary,

The Legion of Mary is beginning a Knotted Cord Rosary Making Ministry at Our Lady of Humility. Our Rosaries will be donated primarily to various groups and individuals within our Parish who request them.

Legion of Mary-rosary making

We invite anyone who is interested in learning to make a Knotted Cord Rosary at Donut Sunday this Sunday, July 17th. Teachers will be available from 8AM until 12:30PM to demonstrate the technique. (An experienced person can make an entire Rosary in approximately one hour.) We have six different choices of twine available.

If you have been saving crucifixes from broken rosaries, and want to donate them to a good cause, we would be happy to accept and repurpose them. In addition, please consider bringing your new (or old Rosary) to the Knights Of Columbus Rosary Service on Sunday, July 31st, after the 9AM Mass, and join us in praying for a “Greater Respect Of All Human Life.”

Nine Reasons to Pray the Rosary Daily:

1.  For World Peace

2.  As a means for calling down God’s blessing upon the family

3.  For courage in facing the hardships of life

4.  As a steady means of nurturing and persevering in the Faith

5.  For healing the evils of our day

6.  For learning Christian perfection

7.  For success in one’s vocation in life

8.  As a powerful means of obtaining graces from God

9.  To grow in holiness, and enjoy the special protection of Our Lady
