Next Saturday, May 13th, at 8:45AM (Following The 8AM Mass)

The Legion of Mary is hosting a Prayer Celebration in honor of Our Lady of Fatima at 8:45AM (after the 8AM Mass) in Church next Saturday, May 13th.

The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal six times between May 13th to October 13th in 1917. She asked them to pray the Rosary every day to bring peace to the world (and an end to World War I).

In order to celebrate the Centennial of the Apparitions of Fatima, by mandate of Pope Francis, a Jubilee Year is granted from November 27, 2016 until November 26, 2017. “The Plenary Indulgence of the Jubilee is granted to the pious faithful who visit with devotion an image of Our Lady of Fatima displayed in an adequate place, and who devotedly participate there in some celebration or prayer in honor of the Virgin Mary, on the anniversary days of the Apparitions (the 13th of each month, from May to October 2017).”

Our short Prayer Celebration will consist of opening and closing songs, the recitation of the Glorious Mysteries, the Our Father Prayer, the Creed, and the Litany of Our Lady of Fatima.

Note:  In order to obtain Plenary Indulgences, the faithful who are truly repentant and filled with charity, must fulfill the following ritual conditions: Sacramental Confession within one week, Eucharistic Communion, and Prayer for the Intentions of the Holy Father.
