A Special Farewell!

Category: Parish News,

As a Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin native, Diana Jurista was hired in 1979 as Our Lady of Humility’s Director of Religious Education (DRE) for 30 Years – retiring in 2009. In 2014, Diana was once again our DRE where she will retire in June 2018 after 34 years.

Diana’s been actively involved in Liturgy of The Word for Children, Small Faith Groups, the Women’s  Club, and Church Women United. Over the years, she has served on many ministries as an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister, Minister of Care, and Hospital Care. Diana was involved working with Junior and High School Students prior to Christ First. In Our Lady of Humility School, Diana works with parents whose children are preparing to receive the Sacraments. She continues to enjoy activities at the Lindenhurst Park District, and playing cards with her friends.

As a resident of Lindenhurst for 33 years, and after the passing of her husband, Diana has made the decision to move to Centennial, Colorado, (in the Denver area), to be by her family. Diana will be moving in with her Sister Mary, and will be surrounded by her Step-Daughters (and their Husbands), 4 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, and one on the way. Diana’s house is currently on the market to be sold, and appreciates your prayers in selling her home.

Diana has been such a pillar of our Parish Community for decades, and will be truly missed. On Donut Sunday, May 20th, (next Sunday) after the 7, 9, and 11AM Masses we will have a cake for Diana.  Fr. Paul and the Women’s Club encourages everyone to stop by with your well-wishes, blessings, and good-byes.
