Dear OLH Parishioners & Friends,

This weekend is MISSION AWARENESS TIME. Today’s Second Collection will be used to support the Pontifical Mission Societies which serve the Church’s universality as a global network of support for the Pope in his missionary commitment by prayer, the soul of mission, and charitable offerings from Christians throughout the world. Our Fourth Graders made mission posters to make us more aware of our support for the missions. Posters will be displayed this weekend in the Church.

Also, this weekend is DOUNUT SUNDAY in the Parish Center. Our OLH WELLNESS COMMITTEE will be present to monitor blood pressures, and share good health tips. Please stop by the table and get healthy.

ALL SOULS’ REMEMBRANCE ENVELOPES are available in Church. Please take one home, and write the names of your deceased loved ones on the flap. Place a donation in the envelope, and return it in the regular Collection during the weekends of October and November 2019. The names of deceased friends and relatives will be listed in the bulletin during November 2019. Always remember to pray for our beloved dead that they may share in the eternal Resurrection of the Lord Jesus!

Next weekend OLH will celebrate the ANOINTING OF THE SICK at the end of every Mass. The Rite of the Pastoral Care of the Sick states who may be anointed: “Those whose health is seriously impaired by sickness or old age...before or after surgery… children of the age of reason who are ill...elderly people if they have become weak… those who bear the burden of chronic diseases or mental illness…” If you wish to be anointed at the end of Mass, please follow the instructions that will be given.

ST. FRANCIS DAY PET BLESSING will be next Sunday afternoon, October 27, 2019, at 1PM. Bring your pets to the main School entrance, and Deacon Jim will bless them.

A Blessed Week to All,

Fr. Jim
