Dear OLH Parishioners & Friends,

This weekend OLH celebrates the ANOINTING OF THE SICK at the end of every Mass. The Rite of the Pastoral Care of the Sick states who may be anointed: “Those whose health is seriously impaired by sickness or old age...before or after surgery...children of the age of reason who are ill...elderly people if they have become weak… those who bear the burden of chronic diseases or mental illness…” If you wish to be Anointed at the end of Mass today, please follow the instructions that will be given.

ST. FRANCIS DAY PET BLESSING will be this Sunday afternoon, October 27th, 2019, at 1PM. Bring your pets to the main School entrance, and Deacon Jim will bless them.

This Friday, November 1st, 2019, the Church celebrates the FESTIVAL OF ALL SAINTS. For faithful Catholics, this is a holy day of Mass obligation. I encourage everyone to arrange their schedule to join us for this celebration when the Church honors all Saints – deceased and alive.

ALL SOULS’ REMEMBRANCE ENVELOPES are available in Church. Please take one home, and write the names of your deceased loved ones on the flap. Place a donation in the envelope, and return it in the regular Collection during the weekends of October and November 2019. The names of deceased friends and relatives will be listed in the Parish Bulletin during November 2019.

The ANNUAL REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE WHO MOURN will be next Saturday afternoon, November 2nd, 2019, at the 5PM Mass. Invitations have been sent to all families who had someone buried from OLH. Everyone is invited to be a support to those who have recently lost a loved one this last year.

A Blessed Week to All,

Fr. Jim
