Marytown / St. Maximilaen Kolbe Shrine
www.marytown.com
Marytown is the home of the Conventual Franciscan Friars of St. Bonaventure Province whose life-mission is to carry on the work of St. Maximilian Kolbe in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi. Friars, lay workers and volunteers encourage a "total consecration" to the Immaculate Heart of Mary as the surest way to union with Jesus Christ. Marytown is the national center of the Militia of the Immaculata (Ml) Marian consecration movement, founded by St. Maximilian in 1917.

This Website was created by a partnership of the Town of Lourdes and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. Each year more than five million people, of whom a great number are sick or handicapped, come to Lourdes, from every country of the world. It may be through curiosity, through a desire for a physical cure, in a movement towards belief, or to be of service to those who suffer, that they go to the Grotto of Massabielle.
